1. Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is one of the famous historical landmarks of India built in the 13th century. It is the highest brick minaret made out of strikingly red sandstone and marble. Qutub Minar is also on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited place plus tourist attraction.
Main attraction: magnificent architectural structure, an iconic monument known as Tower of Victory, impressive height

2. Red Ford
Red ford is the most popular iconic historical place in Delhi. Just as the name suggests, Red Fort was made out of vibrant red sandstone built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1639. Since then it had been the residence of many Mughal emperors during their reign in Delhi. Red ford’s design is inspired by the Islamic, Hindi, Timurid, and Persian architectural styles.
Main attraction: Best of Mughal architecture and design, imperial apartments, a museum, garden, massive enclosing walls.

3. Humayun’s Tomb
The tomb of Mughal emperor Humayun is the best-preserved and maintained Mughal Monument, it has wonderful architecture built in 1572. Also, Humayun’s tomb is the first garden tomb in the Indian subcontinent. The construction of the tomb was based on Central Asian and Persian styles of Islamic architecture.
Main attraction: Mughal architecture, high neck dome, a delightful mixture of Persian, Turkish, plus Indian architecture.

4. Hauz Khas Fort
Hauz Khas fort was built by the infamous Mughal ruler Alauddin Khilji in 1303 to restore the water body in the 13th century. Hauz here stands for “water tank” and ‘Khas’ means “royal” in Urdu Language giving it the meaning -the “Royal tank. Now Hauz Khas is the most famous location for party lovers but it is also one of the most beautiful historical places in Delhi to visit.
Main attraction: Feroz Shah’s tomb, a madrasa, mosque, and the beautiful royal tank.

5. Agrasen ki Baoli
Agrasen ki Baoli is an ASI-protected historical place and a must-visit historical place in Delhi. It is a 60-meter long and 15-meter wide step-well that comprises a three-level deep structure and 101 steps. Agrasen ki Baoli was built by Maharaja Agrasen to reserve water.
Main attraction: splendid architecture, ornate stone details, and beautiful soaring arched walls & alcoves

6. India Gate
India gate was built in memory of 70,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who sacrificed their lives in World War 1 and 13,300 servicemen who fought in the Anglo-Afghan War. It is the most beautiful political and historical place in Delhi. The architecture of the India gate is of canopy inspired from Mahabalipuram pavilions in the 6th century.
Main attraction: Flame of Immortal Soldier or Amar Jawan Jyoti, architectural style, get your heart aroused with nationalism and emotions

7. Purana Qila
Purana Qila is famous for two things, first is for the oldest forts ever built in Delhi which is around 5000 years old. Secondly, it is the spot of the death of Mughal emperor Humayun. The famous old fort was built by the Mughal emperor Humayun and his intercessor Sher Shah Suri.
Main attraction: impenetrable wall, light and sound show, boat ride in the outskirts of the fortress.
